ABOUT
"Morning Mood," "Solveig's Song," and of course "In the Hall of the Mountain King" are just a few of the famous movements from Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suites, extracted for the Concert Hall from his incidental music to the play by Ibsen. The second of Chopin's two concertos for the piano was actually the first to be written, completed when he was only twenty years old and used to demonstrate his own prowess and finesse as a soloist with orchestra. Pianist Zoltán Fejérvári bring the concerto's delicate colors and sweeping lines to life, from the stately beginning through the swirling finale.
