MARS MUSIC HALL - HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA

Welcome to the Von Braun Center’s newest venue - Mars Music Hall! Located in Downtown Huntsville, Alabama, Mars Music Hall is changing the landscape of the music scene in Huntsville. With its open-floor plan and balcony overlooking the over-sized stage, this intimate setting offers great acoustics for a variety of events ranging from concerts to comedy acts and everything in between.

The opening show, featuring Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, set the tone for the future success of Mars, with tickets selling out within the first couple of hours.

The addition of Mars Music Hall (and the new restaurant and rooftop bar Rhythm on Monroe) to the Von Braun Center is part of an ongoing expansion project, approved by the Huntsville City Council in June 2017, that will ultimately include a new ballroom and multi-purpose space; renovation of the existing North Hall; the addition of breakout meeting spaces and more. The ground breaking for the music hall and restaurant took place on August 15, 2018.

The basis for the addition of a new music hall at the VBC came from the increase in 800-1,500 capacity music halls in the southeast.  As the VBC has a tremendous demand for events in the existing Mark C. Smith Concert Hall and Playhouse, the additional 1,575 capacity of Mars Music Hall fills the need for increased concert demand.

LOCATION

Mars Music Hall is located inside the Von Braun Center, at the corner of Monroe Street and Clinton Avenue.  It is adjacent to the new restaurant and rooftop bar, Rhythm on Monroe.  You can easily access Mars from anywhere inside the VBC, or directly from the exterior Mars entrance.  While inside the VBC, just look for signage leading to The Playhouse!
