Is Propst Arena ADA-compliant?

Yes. Propst Arena is ADA-compliant and offers accessible entrances, seating, restrooms, elevator and services. Our team is available to assist guests with specific accessibility needs to create a comfortable experience.

Can I have catering at my event?

Absolutely. Full-service catering is available for backstage needs, or events like receptions, banquets, and meetings. Our in-house team can customize menus, service styles, and presentation to fit the vision and size of your event.

Does my event need to have insurance?

Yes, most events at Propst Arena require event insurance. Our event team will provide guidance on coverage requirements and assist in verifying your policy meets venue standards. The insurance cannot be obtained by VBC and is the sole responsibility of the lessee to procure sufficient insurance prior to hosting an event at Propst Arena.

Events the Arena Is Suited For

The VBC’s Propst Arena is one of the leading event venues Huntsville counts on for creating memorable events and attractions. The space is equipped to accommodate major concerts, trade and consumer shows, family shows, and a full range of indoor sporting events, including basketball, ice hockey, football, volleyball, wrestling, rodeos, and more!

What’s Included in Rental Rates

Rental rates include lighting, heating, and/or air conditioning, and water. All labor, supplies, and equipment are considered additional expenses.

Insurance required for events in Propst Arena cannot be obtained by the VBC, and it is therefore the sole responsibility of the Lessee to procure sufficient insurance and isn’t included with the rental rate.

Commercial Rental Rates

Our rental rate is $9,000 or 12% of gross ticket receipts after taxes, whichever is greater. We charge a $9,000 flat rate for events generating revenue beyond the control of the VBC and a $7,000 flat rate for events with no traditional revenue generated.

NonCommercial Rental Rates

Our rental rate is $7,500 or 10% of gross ticket receipts after taxes, whichever is greater. We charge a $6,000 flat rate for events generating revenue beyond the control of the VBC and a $5,000 flat rate for events with no traditional revenue generated. Noncommercial Rental applies to qualified religious, charitable, or educational organizations where no admission is charged, no fee is taken, no collection is made, or no revenue is derived. Local non-profit organizations that charge admission, take fees, collections, or derive revenue may qualify for the noncommercial rental rate.

Conference Rental Rates

Conference rentals are $12,000 per day during the event. This rate includes access to the space, standard utilities, and support from our event coordination team to ensure a smooth setup and operation throughout your conference.

Load-In/Load-Out Rates

For setup and teardown outside of your scheduled event day, load-in and load-out rates are calculated at 60% of the standard daily rental rate. This allows organizers additional time to efficiently prepare the space for their event or return it to standard configuration without paying the full daily rate.
