The Von Braun Center is a multipurpose facility with the primary objective of facilitating and promoting events and activities while generating economic benefit and improving the quality of life for the Huntsville community and its surrounding areas.

About the Von Braun Center

The Von Braun Center is named after Dr. Wernher von Braun, a pioneer of rocket science whose work helped shape Huntsville’s legacy as the Rocket City.

Today, the VBC is governed by a seven-member Board of Control appointed by the Mayor of Huntsville and the Huntsville City Council, providing oversight and strategic direction for the organization.

Located in the heart of downtown Huntsville, the VBC serves as a central gathering place for the community -hosting cultural, educational, entertainment, sporting, and social events of all kinds. With a versatile campus and a team of experienced professionals, the VBC is committed to delivering exceptional experiences for every guest, client, and event.

It’s in a beautiful part of Alabama with restaurants and a nice park to walk around before the event. I always try to look for events here, and we drive 2.5hrs up to see them!

    Propst Arena at the VBC is one of my favorite indoor music venues. Offering ample opportunities for parking getting in is always a breeze, once inside you can expect a well-kept venue with tons of friendly faces. The workers really make the night even more fun! If ever given the chance I highly recommend visiting at least once regardless the event you will not be disappointed. (The little guy at the entrance of the ground floor seating at the 90s show was the sweetest kiddo ever I enjoyed joking with him and he was always very helpful!)

    A BIG arena! Lots of space, plenty of bathrooms and it’s all air-conditioned! Attached to the Embassy Suites and there is a walkway between the two, so you never have to get out in the weather. They also have concession stands inside in case you get hungry or thirsty.
